Why is Planet Dog taking on a campaign? Planet Dog is the leader in the pet industry and with that leadership comes the responsibility to tackle the most pressing issue affecting dogs and cats everywhere.

How is this program funded? Is it grant-based?
The initial funding is an investment from Planet Dog in the interest of supporting homeless animals across the country.

Is this campaign driven by Planet Dog or the Planet Dog Foundation? The adopt. campaign is a Planet Dog initiative. It is a national public service campaign to promote and generate awareness about pet adoption and educate the public about the pressing issue of homeless animals.

Does this mean that PDF now supports shelters financially? No. The mission of the Planet Dog Foundation has not changed in any way.

Do I have to be a Planet Dog customer in order to get an Adoption Event Sample Kit? Yes. Please note that we no longer have a minimum order amount - making it easier for smaller stores to become PDOG Retailers. To locate a Sales Representative in your area click here.

How do I become an adoption advocate? To be included in the program, PDOG Retailers must hold regular adoption events in their store or work with their local shelter to help facilitate pet adoption. We will also help interested retailers to launch a new program.

What if I hold adoption events at multiple store locations? Planet Dog will provide you one Adoption Event Sample Kit per store.

What if I lose or damage any part of my adoption event display? Your Adoption Event Sample Kit is intended to be used as a display at adoption events held at your store. If items become worn, damaged or lost, you may purchase replacements from Planet Dog.

How much do the replacement products cost?
The replacement Orbee-Tuff® adopt. Ball is $5.50
The replacement Orbee-Tuff® adopt. Mouse is $4.50
The WOOF, MEOW and adopt. Stickers are $1.50 each
The 8.5 x 11 sign is $1.00
* Replacement products are not to be sold in stores or at the event., but to show people the components of the Kiss me. I’m adopted. Kits.

Can we use your adopt. images and artwork in our advertising for in-store adopt events? What about on our store’s website? All of the images for the adopt campaign are available on our website for download. We have other collateral available in the Adoption Event Sample Kit to provide a consistent look. We will work with any retailer to provide them appropriate materials to support the program.

What if there are questions or concerns from breeders? Planet Dog does not discriminate against any dog - we love them all! We recognize that specific breeds have a special place and make wonderful pets. Many PDOGGERS have purebred dogs, and we often fund specially bred dogs through our foundation. However, the enormous problem of unwanted animals facing euthanasia is critical, and we want to do all we can to help solve this problem and give every pet a forever home.

What if someone adopts a dog and later returns the dog because the adoption is not working out? We do not have the resources to track every adoption that we reward with a Kiss Me Kit. We would not expect someone to return their Kiss me, I’m adopted. Kit if they return the animal. It is our hope that this person would consider adopting again.

Can animal shelters and rescue groups get an Adoption Event Display? We recognize that rescue groups play a critical role in finding homes for homeless pets. If they submit an email to adoptteam@planetdog.com, we will provide an Adoption Event Sample Kit to reputable rescue groups to use during their adoption events. We also reward people who adopt from a rescue group with a Kiss me, I’m adopted. Kit.

I am an international customer. Do you have a kit for international customers? We understand that pet overpopulation is a global concern, but at this time, we do not have the distribution infrastructure to provide the Adoption Event Sample Kits or Kiss me, I’m adopted. Kits to customers outside of the United States.
